We are a speech-language pathology and occupational therapy practice for kids, teens, and young adults who would benefit from support to develop social connections and friendships.
Research tells us that having just one or two close friends has a significant impact on building positive self-esteem and independence as well as handling stress, depression, and anxiety. We also know that self-regulation, sensory health, and interest-based connections are intrinsically linked to social thriving. Our team is passionate about helping every family bring these pieces together for each client to help them build and maintain personally meaningful and fulfilling relationships with others in their lives.
Each family starts with an individual consultation which allows us to understand our clients, their previous experiences, and what would be most helpful right now. We typically book consultations within a few weeks of families contacting us, so there are no long waitlists for our services.
We involve parents or other adults important in the client’s life in all our services. We know that when our clients have a trusted person who can support them when their service ends, there is a much greater chance of them continuing to use what they’ve learned.
Connections SLP is a different kind of speech-language pathology practice. We work with amazing kids, teens, and young adults who are trying to find their friendship fit. We understand that finding social connections is not always easy, and we love helping our clients and their families determine how to use their passions and strengths to achieve their social goals.
PlayGreat is our very own, very unique program for children in grades 2-6 who are ready to learn and talk about making and keeping friends. We help parents use their children’s strengths and interests as they create and coach successful playdates and get togethers.

Our expanded services for teens in grades 7-12 focus on helping clients learn strategies to make and keep friends in whatever way is most meaningful for them. Teens participate either individually or in groups, depending on how they learn best.

Many kids, teens, and young adults who struggle with friendship also experience differences in their sensory processing and ability to self-regulate. Our occupational therapy sessions help clients and their parents learn about their own sensory systems and what they need to feel ready and able to participate in interactions with others.
